This program’s goal is to have children and youngsters value the education as a basic element to be proficient in their work and social life.
THE PLAN DE APOYO FAMILIAR FOUNDATION FOCUSES ON:
The children and youngsters have the chance to receive pre-school, primary, high school and technical or professional formal education. Scholarships are provided yearly, and they include: enrollment fees, school kit, vouchers for uniforms, school fee and transportation.
Development of cognitive skills
These are the tools supplementing the formal education process. The students identify, utilize and develop social and communicative skills through dance, theater, music, development of healthy habits, ludic activities, pedagogic journeys, the youth leadership group, hapkido, “Aprender” and “Cre-Ser” programs and the district workshops.
This activity enables the community to get closer to the culture through reading and writing workshops that are complemented with theater and puppet presentations. These are carried out once a month in different city districts.
Other learning spaces offered to children and youngsters that enable them to identify countless possibilities within their neighborhood.
The school as Development Center
The Foundation develops public educational institutions improvement projects, as it is convinced that the appropriate environment transforms the student, parents and the educational community. More than ten educational institutions in the municipalities of Cali, Palmira and Candelaria have benefited from this program.
Word and Number learning tool:
This concentrates on training teachers to implement new reading and writing strategies.
